OSU Trombone Studio Members in DCI for 2019

Three freshman Trombone Studio Members will be spending the summer of 2019 on tour with Drum Corps International.  Doug Bell will be serving as drum major for Carolina Crown, Calvin Householder will be marching with Boston Crusaders, and Jacob Tarrant will be marching with Louisiana Stars.

Doug Bell

Doug Bell is a freshman music education major. He graduated from North Penn High School in Lansdale, Pennsylvania. During his time at North Penn, he played percussion in wind ensemble and marching band before becoming a drum major. He was also a member of the Chorus, Men’s Choir, and Chamber Singers. Outside of North Penn, Doug spent two years as a drum major at Cadets2 Drum Corps (2017, 2018). At OSU, Doug is a proud member of The Cowboy Marching Band, Spirit Band, Trombone Choir, and Concert Band.

Calvin Householder

Calvin Householder is a freshman music education major from Pflugerville, Texas. He graduated from Hendrickson High School where he took lessons with Megan Boutin and Josh Stover.  At Oklahoma State, Calvin is a member of the Symphonic Band, Concert Band (on Euphonium), Spirit Band, Cowboy Marching Band, and the OSU Trombone Choir. He is also a member of Kappa Kappa Psi and Phi Mu Alpha.

Jacob Tarrant

Jacob Tarrant is a freshman music education major from Durant, Oklahoma. Jacob has studied with Richard Stallcup, Mary Wilkinson, Johnny Walker, Leslie Gregg, and Chris Gregg.  He is a member of the OSU Cowboy Marching Band, Concert Band, and Trombone Choir.
